There’s something truly special about photographing weddings at St Tewdrics House. As a Cardiff-based wedding photographer I’ve had the pleasure of capturing many beautiful celebrations here but Olivia and Cordell’s day stood out for its warmth, elegance and genuine connection. Their wedding was a perfect blend of classic romance and modern style—set against the stunning backdrop of this historic Welsh manor.
Morning Preparations
The day began in the light-filled bridal suite at St Tewdrics. Olivia and her bridal party were full of excitement and anticipation with laughter echoing through the halls as hair and makeup were expertly finished by Charmaine & her team . The all-white walls and large windows provided the perfect soft, natural light for capturing those intimate, candid moments—Olivia’s final touches, her dress reveal, and the emotional reactions of her closest friends and family.
Cordell and his groomsmen prepared in a separate suite sharing stories and a few nervous laughs. I always aim to capture the small details: cufflinks being fastened, handwritten vows, and the quiet moments before the ceremony.

The couple exchanged vows in St Tewdrics’ stunning garden . This space is a dream for photographers—bathed in natural light and surrounded by views of the gardens & roses . Olivia and Cordell’s ceremony was heartfelt and personal with happy tears and beaming smiles. I worked unobtrusively focusing on the real emotions: the loving glances, the squeeze of a hand, the joyful cheers as they walked back up the aisle as newlyweds.
