Hello, I am Yolanda Kingdon & I have been working in the industry for over twenty years. I specialise in Portrait , Family , Pregnancy , Baby , Makeover , Model Portfolios & Wedding Photography.

Throughout my career I have collected a wide variety of work for my portfolio & have gained confidence in being able to deliver the highest quality & beautiful photographs to my clients .

I have my own studio perfect for a variety of mini photoshoot sessions .
I also have a great knowledge of beautiful locations to be able to capture the perfect backdrop for your photoshoot .

Although being based in Cardiff I am able to shoot at destinations all over the UK and abroad .
Photography has always been my absolute passion.
I started Yolanda Kingdon Photography in 2004 with a focus on Portrait and Makeover shoots. During this time I also trained in hair and makeup. I chose to begin my photography with makeover photoshoots as I enjoyed helping people to gain confidence & this was very successful . During this time I was spotted by leading magazines & newspapers to photograph for well known brands, magazines & celebrities.
Years later in 2013 I found an immense passion for Wedding Photography and I quickly fell in love with capturing couples special days . Whilst I love being behind my camera there is also such a great sense of satisfaction for me to help capture one of life's most special events for couples and their families.
Whether your preference is the styled shots, candid shots, posed shots, relaxed and natural shots or all of the above - I promise to have you covered . Giving you a personalised and people centric approach to your entire day really encompasses what wedding photography means to me.

I also believe capturing someone's wedding day shouldn't be turned into a full day photoshoot production as it is a wedding day after all & there are lots of people to see & other wonderful aspects of the day to enjoy . I think having the perfect balance of candid & beautiful " posed " shots is best .
Over the last 4 years I have been extremely lucky to be asked to run photography and lighting workshops and seminars for leading industry brands & I quickly became an ambassador for SONY . Sharing my experience and knowledge with budding photographers looking to develop their techniques and skills has been an overwhelming experience.

The ideal time for a newborn photoshoot is within the first 2–3 weeks after birth, when babies are sleepiest and most comfortable being posed. I recommend booking your Cardiff newborn session before your due date to secure your spot, but last-minute bookings are always welcome if I have availability.
