General Information

1. What types of portrait photography do you offer in Cardiff and South Wales?
I provide professional portrait photography for individuals, families, children, couples and multi-generational groups. Sessions are available in my Cardiff studio or on location throughout South Wales and the Vale of Glamorgan.

2. What is pageant photography and who is it for?
Pageant photography focuses on capturing contestants’ headshots, full-body portraits and themed images for pageant competitions. I work with children, teens, and adults preparing for local and national pageants.

3. Where are your portrait and pageant photoshoots held?
Most sessions take place in my Cardiff studio, equipped with multiple backdrops and professional lighting. Outdoor or on-location shoots in the Vale of Glamorgan and South Wales are also available upon request.

4. Do you offer makeover , confidence boost & bridal boudoir photography ?

Yes! I love helping people feel great , it's all about the fun & relaxed environment . Gently guiding you throughout the whole experience with me , from the first time we talk , booking , photoshoot & your final photos . I have been providing makeover / confidence boost photoshoots for over twenty years & it's been one of the most rewarding , watching people leave the studio feeling on top of the world !

5. What portrait photoshoot packages do you offer?
I offer mini-sessions, full portrait sessions, and premium packages - including “Generations Together” and seasonal mini sessions. Each package includes a set number of edited images and optional add-ons such as extra photos or prints.

6. What’s included in your pageant photoshoot packages?
Pageant packages typically include headshots, full-body images, and creative themed shots. All packages come with professional retouching and guidance on posing for the best results.

7. How much do your portrait and pageant sessions cost?
Portrait mini-sessions start at £150, full sessions at £300 and premium packages are also available. Pageant packages are tailored to your needs please enquire for a custom quote.

8. Do you offer group or family portrait sessions?
Yes! Family, siblings, and multi-generation sessions are available both in-studio and on location across Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan.

9. Are there seasonal or themed session packages?
Yes, I run seasonal mini-sessions (autumn, Christmas, spring, summer) perfect for updating family portraits or creating unique portrait images.

Preparing for Your Session

10. What should I wear for my portrait or pageant photoshoot?
Neutral, solid colours work best for portrait sessions . For pageants, bring your competition outfits and any accessories. I’m happy to advise on wardrobe choices ahead of your session.

11. Can I change outfits during the session?
Yes, outfit changes are encouraged! Most packages include time for 2–3 looks, allowing for variety in your images.

12. Can I bring props or accessories?
Absolutely! Personal touches, crowns, sashes or meaningful items are always welcome - especially for pageant and milestone portraits.

13. How do you help clients feel comfortable in front of the camera?
With over 20 years’ experience, I offer gentle guidance and posing tips to help everyone feel relaxed and look their best, whether it’s your first photoshoot or you’re a seasoned pageant contestant.

During & After the Session

14. How long does a typical portrait or pageant session last?
Mini-sessions are 45 minutes; full sessions last up to 2.5 hours.

15. How soon will we receive our photos?
Edited galleries are delivered within one week for portraits and pageant shoots. You’ll receive a private online gallery to select your favourite images.

16. Are images professionally retouched?
Yes, all final images are carefully edited for a polished, natural look blemishes and minor imperfections are retouched as standard. Full retouch tends to take longer as each photo is retouched to the highest standard by hand .

17. Can I order prints ?
Absolutely! I offer premium prints to showcase your favourite portraits.

18. Can I use my pageant photos for competition entry or social media?
Yes, your images are perfect for pageant submissions, portfolios and social media profiles.

19. Do you provide photography for children’s and teen pageants?
Yes, I have extensive experience working with children and teens in the pageant community, ensuring a fun and supportive environment.

20. Do you offer headshot sessions for professionals or performers?
Yes! Headshot packages are available for business professionals, actors, dancers, musicians , singers, songwriters, bands and pageant contestants across Cardiff and South Wales.

21. Can you accommodate family groups or multi-generational portraits?
Yes, my studio is equipped for groups ( up to 6 people ) and I’m happy to photograph extended families both indoors and outdoors.

22. Are pets welcome in portrait sessions?
Pets are part of the family! They’re welcome in both studio and outdoor portrait sessions.

23. Do you offer makeup or hair styling?
I have a dedicated makeup/hair station in my studio. Professional styling can be arranged upon request please enquire.

24. How far in advance should I book my session?
For best availability, book 2 - 5 weeks in advance. Seasonal and weekend dates fill up quickly in Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan.

25. What if I need to reschedule?
Life happens! Just let me know as soon as possible - I’m happy to accommodate rescheduling where possible. Read my terms & conditions about non-refundable deposits. 

26. Do you offer gift vouchers for portrait or pageant sessions?
Yes, gift vouchers are available and make a thoughtful present for families or aspiring pageant contestants.

27. Are your services available outside Cardiff?
Yes, I serve clients throughout South Wales, including the Vale of Glamorgan, Rhoose, Cowbridge and surrounding areas.

28. Can you help with content creation for social media or personal branding?
Absolutely! I offer content creation and branding photography for individuals and small businesses across Cardiff and South Wales.
